Have you ever had to make a decision as to whether to buy food or save money to take the bus to a job interview? You wish you had some money for a good set of interview clothes, but you are unable to do so and you are embarrassed at not making a good impression. It is so hard to watch your children go hungry but there is just never enough to make it to the end of the month.
Many of our clients experience these real life issues, and at the London Employment Help Centre we make a difference for our clients and their families every day. Through many Government social supports, there is help for our community – but it is never enough. We regularly fundraise and bring awareness to these problems, using our “Client Fund” when there are no other supports. Food, clothing, transportation, training, and many other supports are used from our client fund.
